Common questions

About This Ranking

What does the editorial score measure?
The score measures how thoroughly an investor’s activity is documented in the public record: the volume and consistency of traceable transactions, the breadth of sectors and markets involved, the scope of disclosed organisational responsibilities, the quality of the supporting sources, and whether the activity crosses borders.
Does the ranking measure wealth or net worth?
No. No criterion references wealth, assets under management, portfolio value or investment returns. A profile with substantial but undisclosed activity will score lower than one with modest, well-documented activity — that is by design.
How often is the ranking updated?
Positions are reviewed twice a year. Movement between editions frequently reflects a change in source availability rather than a change in the subject’s activity, which is why every entry carries a written justification.
Can an investor pay to be included or ranked higher?
No. Inclusion and position are editorial decisions. The directory is independent of the individuals and firms it documents.
